Who is the contact person? Make sure to receive a phone number from the contact. Call it up to check if the information is correct.

Before contacting the person by phone you could research who it is at Google Maps to see who it is you are dealing with. Google the company what kind of work they have done before. If it terns out to be a private person beware!

Get clear information about what the final purpose of the pictures will be. By doing this you can refuse if you do not like the output.

In case of a child models then always make sure that it is a grown up/parent that contacts the customer.

Always agree the price before the assignment starts. The most secure is to make a written agreement between customer and model. You can download a template above, which the customer accept and sign in connection to the shoot. Make sure that you receive a copy with the customers signature.

Make sure to always be fresh and rested in body and mind when going to a shoot.

Make sure that your profile is up to date with information and photos. Rather spend time and money on a few professional photos than having dozens of amateur photos. If you chose to make your photos yourself, then remember never take them in direct sun however instead in the shade.
